In recent years I have been looking for creative ways to exploit the memory of jewelry shop. In the past I have saved it with all my other tree ornaments, but I wanted a special place to store it, especially my daughter’s ornaments that we have for the collection of her over the years.
This year I went to a craft store to select a box. The craft store had, I went to a variety of fields to choose from. The box gave me a raised rim around the edges, it looked like would be difficult to work chose, I chose to paint it instead. I painted all the borders with several layers of red acrylic paint.
Next I went through a big pile of old Christmas cards, find appropriate images on the box decoupage. This was the fun part! You can cut, not just images, you can also cut holiday feelings of friends and family members. alone has lost in recent years, several members of our extended family have passed, and projects such as this souvenir jewelry boxes are a good way to remember those. Cut the cards in a variety of sizes and shapes.
Add these pictures on the field with a brush or similar decoupage medium to the back of your cut, then place the cut on the field. Continue pasting clippings on the side of the box until it is covered. After the field is dry, you can apply another coating for good measure.
That’s it! There is no limit to the possibilities of the decoration of this beautiful ornament box. I have not tried it yet, but I plan on the inside of the box with felt line to give him one more are ready.
